Pictures from the past week

Hi All!
Just wanted to post a bunch of cute Jackson pictures from the past week. Hope everyone is doing well. We still cant believe Jackson is almost 2 years old. The other day I saw this quote and it hit home

It is truly amazing how someone so small
could inspire a love so grand.

Summer Updates

So hopefully everyone has had an enjoyable Summer, and kept cool! Jackson has been quite busy with a family trip to Florida, Music Together Classes with Mommy, and of course tons of fun with his Nanny.  His new favorite thing is pretend cooking/eating, so we brought his Grill set to his play area, and he loves it! He is always "cooking" up something up yummy! Below is a compilation of photos from this Summer.

Keepin' Cool

What crazy summer weather we have been having, it's been scorching, humid, and even rainy at times, so Jackson has been staying in a lot.  He has developed some new interests over the past few weeks, one of which is playing with his kitchen and grill set.  He loves getting mixing bowls and spoons and pretend "cooking", he will even stir in the bowl and pretend eating, it's too cute.

His vocabulary has also improved, he is using a lot more inflection in his voice, and is repeating things more, so I'm working on the ABC's, 123s, and colors.  He has also learned how to blow kisses!

Since we have been inside, I've been working on Arts and Crafts with him, and below are a few of his projects he has done this week.

Heat Wave!

Hello All,

Just thought I'd add some updates on Jackson along with some new pictures.  He is doing so great, and growing like a weed! He's walking...er nearly running everywhere now and talking up a storm.  He is saying a few more words like "baby", "boo"-for peekaboo, and "goo boy"-For Friend, the dog.  He's eating great too and gaining weight.

Here are a few pics I've taken over the last couple weeks:

Julia got Jackson his own laptop and cell phone, he LOVES them!

Hmmm Times New Roman or Helvetica?

Cutie Pie

too cute!

Nice to Meet You!

So as Jackson is learning to talk more, I have been trying to teach him words like "Please" and "Thank You", seems more polite than grunting when he wants things, and although it is a work in progress, I think he's starting to understand.  Today while he was finishing up eating, he held out his hand, so I shook it and said, "Nice to Meet You!", and he had the biggest smile, so he put his hand up again and I repeated.  This is now a fun game he likes, so I was fortunate enough to catch it on tape.  Enjoy!

He has also really been loving his Music Together class he goes to with Julia on Fridays, so I try to play his songs as much as possible. He has this Mickey Mouse drum that came filled with little instruments, like clackers, a harmonica, maracas, and even a recorder.  He now knows how to blow on the recorder to get some sound out and it's pretty cute!

Dinos, Mother's Day, and All Around Cuteness

Well the cord for the camera was M.I.A so I was unable to update Jackson's blog.  He has had quite a busy last few weeks but as ever he continues getting bigger everyday.

Jackson's Mom got some of those capsules you put in warm water that, dissolve into sponge shapes, and these kind were dinosaurs and he was FASCINATED!

Also for Mother's Day, Jackson made a special project for his Mommy, it was a stepping stone that we mixed together, and put in the mold, and then painted it.  We also gave her some Orchids, and she got some gorgeous "Longhorn" Tulips from Greg.
