Wednesday, August 31st

another day of Jackson antics...today he ate a bunch of baby food and seems to becoming less defensive each day. He is about to cut a tooth, so he is chewing on all of his toys, which is a good sign.

August 30th

well the swallow study and upper GI did not happen today. there was a mix up and it was ordered at the wrong facility. so now we will have it done next Thursday.

Jackson was in a mood today, he has a couple of teeth that are about to break thru and we think that is making him irritable. We are hoping once he gets some teeth, he will be more interested in food.

Monday, August 29th

as promised, an update! Today we had dinner with Nurse Jackie--she couldn't believe how big Jackson is getting. She has very impressed with all of his new tricks like sitting and laughing. Tomorrow we have a follow up swallow study and upper GI test. Hopefully they will see an improvement in his reflux.

August 28th

It was exactly one year ago that we told our family we were going to have a baby while celebrating Julia's Grandmother's birthday. This year, the family gathered again to celebrate, but this time Jackson was there to help entertain the troops. He is babbling like crazy now and moving around alot. He is starting to get up on his hands and knees so its just a matter of days before he starts cruising around the house. Today he had mango and loved it! He was laughing alot this weekend, especially with his Grandpa Mac. It was a cute site. Since we are a month from his 1st birthday, we are going to try and post everyday this month.

Here is the family pic from this weekend. Of course there are some people missing - Jenny, Rubin, Uncle Lowell. Hopefully we will all get together soon!!!

Tuesday August 23

Jackson is growing like a weed. He is just under 18lbs. He is starting to eat baby food and seems to be less defensive about the spoon. He really likes bananas and applesauce. He will eat carrots and peas. But really does not like sweet potatoes. He is moving really well, he rolls all over and pivots to get where he wants to go. He can also sit up. He is developing a little sense of humor and laughs alot. Overall he is healthy and happy and thats all we can ask for.

Jackson is almost a year old. It has been just over a year since we found out we were having a baby. Needless to say its been a whirlwind of a year. But a good year none the less.
