Catching up

Well now that the Woods are home from their mini vacation Jackson is getting back into the swing of things with his schedule.

So he has this Crayola kids table he got for Christmas from his parents, and he is now big enough to sit at it and eat/draw, etc.  He seemed pretty proud of himself too.

Also he has a pinwheel he got from this weekend that he LOVES playing with, it's pretty cute seeing him try to blow air to make it spin.

It's been overcast and rainy today so we are staying in but he is full of giggles today and I'm loving it!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend our family went to Beaumont to visit Jackson's Grandma Pat and Grumpy Lew. He also got to meet some of the yaya's. It was a great trip and we all enjoyed being back in Beaumont. The wonderful news of the weekend --Thys is here!! Julia's brother Tommy and his wife Jaime had their son Thys Edward on Saturday evening. So on Sunday we drove from Beaumont to San Antonio to meet Thys. Jackson wasn't able to meet him, but it will happen soon!! We all can't wait for the days when they can run and play together.

Cascarones!!!!

Well today was so fun for Jackson and I because Jackson's mom bought us some cascarones (colorful Mexican confetti shells) to play with.  This was my first time experiencing them and Jackson had a blast!

Short and Sweet

Not too much to report today, Jackson met his new specialist Lindsay today, and he has already accomplished so much just since his ECI evaluation last Friday, he is taking more and more steps each day, and we are working on new body parts, we have been teaching him "ear" but looks like every body part relates to his "nose", but he will learn. 

We had quite a rainstorm last night, which brought us some nice cool weather on this Spring day, and hopefully it stays warm.

Time for Jacksons nap, and he says Goodnight.

Monday, Monday

Well hello all, and happy Monday to you!

Jackson has had an awesome day today, including some of the longest naps I think he's ever taken so far lol.

It's quite windy out today so we have stayed in, but Jacksons newest thing is somersaults, he love love loves them and giggles everytime he does one (assisted by one of us of course).

He is also taking more steps, and crawling less too, it is so amazing just to see the difference walking makes.

I took a couple of pictures of him playing with his wind up dinosaur, he loves this little thing, and it's too cute, watching him play with it.

ECI evaluation, St. Patricks Day, etc

Wow what a busy day we have had today! Jackson had his ECI evaluation today, and it's been decided he will stay with the program another 6mos-1year.  But he did great today, despite getting up 2 hours earlier than usual!

After his appointment it was straight home and to bed, where he was out like a light almost instantly!  Lunch was simple and yummy, some grilled chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes!

One of the goals for Jackson is learning receptive communication, things like body parts and commands.  So today we worked on "nose".  Unfortunately, he hasn't grasped that when I point to my nose, say "nose", and then ask him where his is, his finger lands "in" his nose, rather than on. But he's learning and that's all that matters.

Tomorrow is St. Patricks Day, and Jackson and I are all ready!!!

Ok, well maybe just I am but he has one more day to get in the Spirit

It's Pi Day!

So Jackson and I have had a very eventful today! And to add to it the weather is gorgeous out, a slightly overcast, cool and beautiful. 

Jackson and I played in his tent this morning, and then for lunch I tried a Crescent Wreath, with meatballs and cheddar cheese, perhaps not my greatest invention but Jackson sure loved it.  Followed by Banana Pudding for dessert!

We played outside on his swing and he had a blast, and then played in the living room some more!

According to Jackson..

Today my nanny had something scheduled this morning, so I got to spend my morning with Mommy, we played and had so much fun, and I slept in!

When Sarah got here we played some more, had a yummy lunch of Crescent dogs, fresh grapes, and vegetables, it was so good!

After lunch we played some more, I finger painted pictures for Mommy and Daddy, and took my afternoon nap.

Life is Good!

Spring Time!

Happy Monday!

After a couple of rainy, stuck indoor kind of days, spring is definitely in the air! It is bright and sunny and warm out and Jackson and I are loving it!

Snapped a few shots of him playing this morning, and also check the weekend update video footage of him from Friday because....he is taking steps! This little man is so ready to walk!

Such a goofball! Well Jackson has quite a busy week ahead of him, including his evaluation at the end of the week, and of course St. Patricks Day, lots of fun photos to come! Stay Tuned!
