IT IS COLD!!! On the way home from the NICU it was 18 degrees outside.
So the swallow study went on today. It turns out that he is aspirating slightly when he eats. This means that some particles of his food is making it into his trachea and lungs. This is causing the oxygen desaturation that began yesterday. The cure for this is to pace him extremely slowly while he eats. We also bought this special bottle to help with the issue as well. So far, this combination is already producing results and we are already seeing improvement in his eating sessions. This is all great because Jackson is officially
7LBS today so he needs all the chow he can get.

I love it ! Looks like he is smirking a bit in the second picture. He definitely has a twinkle in his eye. I think I've seen that look on Julia's face before! :)
